FAQ

Frequently asked

What's Element's prefix?
e! by default, and most commands also work as slash commands. Admins can change it with /set prefix.
How do I set it up?
Add Element to your server, run e!help to see every command by category, then follow the getting started guide.
Which invite permissions should I pick?
Recommended permissions give Element what its features need. Administrator is the simplest option, and No permissions lets you hand them out yourself with roles and channel overrides.
Will Element act on my server straight away?
No. Security modules start disabled, so nothing acts on your server until you enable it.
Who can change Element's settings?
Setup commands check Discord permissions. Most need Administrator or a specific permission such as Manage Messages, and Element tells you when one is missing.
Something's broken, where do I get help?
Ask in the Element support server.
